Synopsis
Fiery free-thinker Alexandra Rubliov refuses to be bartered into marriage, but her exasperated father revives an old agreement and sends her to wed Cardinian count Vasili Petroff. Both bride and groom scheme to repel the other, only to discover that their sparring hides a powerful attraction.
