Synopsis
When longtime sheriff Bill Clancy is found shot dead in his car, an itinerant drifter is quickly arrested and every officer in the county demands a conviction. Under election-year pressure, Mara Brent suspects the easy story is wrong and that someone is using the case to hide deeper corruption.
