Synopsis
In Victorian London, prim school headmistress Elizabeth Black secretly writes sensational penny dreadfuls under a male pseudonym. When streetwise author Fletcher Walker seeks her help unmasking his mysterious rival, their work with the Dread Penny Society tangles them in danger and unexpected romance.
