Synopsis
In her later years, Eleanor of Aquitaine endures imprisonment, widowhood and the bitter rivalries of her sons. Freed after Henry II’s death, she travels across Europe to secure Richard’s crown, ransom him from captivity and negotiate uneasy peace with his ambitious brother John.
